Your Privacy Choices

Last updated: April 18, 2026

FaceSentry respects your rights over your personal information. This page summarizes the choices and controls available to you. For the full policy including our lawful basis for processing and data retention schedule, see the Privacy Policy.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

FaceSentry does not sell your personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (CCPA/CPRA definitions). We do not currently run advertising or analytics pixels that would permit such sharing. If this ever changes, we will update this page, display a consent banner, and provide an opt-out control.

Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information (CPRA)

Your biometric face embeddings are classified as sensitive personal information under California's CPRA. FaceSentry uses this information only to provide the monitoring service you subscribed to. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you, for advertising, or for any purpose beyond what is strictly necessary. No additional opt-out is required because we do not use sensitive personal information for any purpose outside the exemptions in CPRA § 1798.121(b).

Access, Export, Correct, or Delete My Data

  • Access and export: download a machine-readable copy of your data from Settings → Export Your Data. Includes profile, protected people, scans, takedowns, and activity logs. Biometric embeddings are available on request via the same page.
  • Correct:edit your display name, email, and each person's name and relationship from the dashboard.
  • Delete a single person:remove a protected person (and their reference photos and embeddings) from the person's detail page.
  • Delete entire account: permanently delete your account and every associated record from Settings → Delete Account. This action is irreversible.

Withdraw Biometric Consent (BIPA / CUBI / GDPR)

You may withdraw consent to the processing of your biometric data at any time. Withdrawal is effected by deleting the associated protected person or deleting your account. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before the withdrawal. We will permanently destroy the associated embeddings and photos on deletion.

Cookie and Tracking Preferences

FaceSentry shows a consent banner on your first visit with three categories:

  • Strictly necessary— first-party cookies for authentication, session, CSRF, and security. These are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics— off by default. When granted, helps us understand which features are used. Aggregated only, never sold.
  • Advertising— off by default. When granted, lets us measure ad campaign effectiveness on TikTok, Meta, and Google.

You can change your choice anytime via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page. Your decision is stored for 12 months, after which we re-prompt. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal where applicable: a browser sending GPC is treated as a request to deny analytics and advertising categories.

Submit an Authorized Agent Request

California residents may designate an authorized agent to make a privacy request on their behalf. We will verify the agent's written permission and the consumer's identity before acting on the request. Email support@facesentry.com with the subject "Authorized Agent Request."

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the privacy rights described here. Your plan, price, and level of service will not change because you submitted a request.

Appeal a Denial

If we deny a privacy request, you may appeal by emailing support@facesentry.com with the subject "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within 45 days and will inform you of your right to contact your state Attorney General if the appeal is also denied.

Contact

For any question about these choices, email support@facesentry.com. Please allow up to 45 days for a response; we will extend only if required by law and will notify you.
